The City of Maysville has retained the services of Engineering Management, Inc. since 2001 for all water and wastewater consulting and design services. EMI has planned and administered over 20 capital projects for the City including several extensive water system improvement programs and a major sewer system rehabilitation program, including I/I analysis, smoke testing and design, construction administration, and funding procurement.

These projects have included over 60,000 LF of waterlines, a booster pumping station, 500,000-gallon elevated water storage tank, replacement of two lift stations and rehabilitation of a majority of the existing manholes and gravity sewer lines. Additionally, several improvements to the City’s wastewater treatment facility to meet increased treatment limits implemented by EPD.

EMI has also maintained a complete GIS mapping system of the water and wastewater systems as well as an ongoing hydraulic water model.

Water and Sewer standard specifications and details are maintained for the City by EMI and delegation of review for water and sewer plans is also an ongoing assignment.  EMI also provides operational services for their water and wastewater treatment systems.
