Water and Sewer System Engineering Services

The City of Blairsville has retained the services of Engineering Management, Inc. since 2001 for all water and wastewater consulting and design services. EMI has planned and administered over 20 capital projects for the City including a 1 MGD SBR wastewater treatment facility expansion program, several extensive water system improvement programs and a major sewer system rehabilitation program, including I/I analysis, smoke testing and design and construction administration. Moreover, a major sanitary sewer system upgrade has been implemented.
EMI has also maintained a complete GIS mapping system of the water and wastewater systems as well as an ongoing hydraulic water model.
Water and Sewer standard specifications and details are maintained for the City by EMI and delegation of review for water and sewer plans is also an ongoing assignment.
EMI has completed two major utility relocation projects for the City and one major one is currently underway for expansion of Georgia Highway 515. Current projects include a grit removal system upgrade at the WWTF, a water loss control program, and a water distribution system improvement program.
