The City of Baldwin has retained the services of Engineering Management, Inc. since 2006 for all water and wastewater consulting and design services. EMI has planned and administered over 25 capital projects for the City. Projects include improvements to the City’s water and wastewater treatment facilities, water distribution system improvement, including upgraded water mains, booster pumping facilities and an elevated water tank.

EMI has also completed several extensive sanitary sewer system improvement programs including upgraded sewer mains, new wastewater pumping stations, and a major sewer system rehabilitation program, including I/I analysis, smoke testing and design and construction administration.

EMI also maintains a complete GIS mapping system of the water and wastewater systems as well as an ongoing hydraulic water model.

Water and Sewer standard specifications and details are maintained for the City by EMI and delegation of review for water and sewer plans is also an ongoing assignment.

EMI provides full operations services for the City’s 0.8 MGD Wastewater Treatment Facility as well as the City’s 4.0 MGD Surface Water Treatment Plant.
