Old Blue Ridge Hwy Water System Improvements
Union County, Georgia
The City of Blairsville recognized the need to extend its water system along Old Blue Ridge Highway in order to create a loop in the City’s water system, thereby increasing flow and pressure, and creating redundant waterline routes into an industrial and commercial area.
The project consists of the extension of approximately 9,600 linear feet of 12” waterlines, along Old Blue Ridge Highway, a 100 LF installation of the water line on an existing bridge over the Nottely River and connection to an existing 10-inch waterline at the Blairsville Airport Regional Industrial Park.
The completed project ensures adequate water flows and pressure, redundancy, and improved fire protection to the Blairsville Airport Regional Industrial Park.
